The
Health Promotion Committee of the Greater Greensboro Society of Medicine Alliance is happy to announce the winners of a writing
contest sponsored by the GGSMA. Middle school students were encouraged to create a poem, a narrative, or an essay that incorporated
this year’s theme, “Stand Up and Say Something”. This topic was chosen to challenge the students to think
about bullying, and to empower them with the thought process to do their part in helping to eliminate bullying in our schools.
Three
winners were chosen, each receiving a plaque commemorating the award. In addition, the three winners received gift cards from
Target valued at $100.00 for 1st place, $75.00 for 2nd place and $50.00 for third place.
